EXPERIENCED RIDER COURSE SCHEDULE

RETURNING IN THE SPRING!

CALL FOR MORE CLASS DATES

Beginner

Novice Rider Training

Our novice rider's course is made up of both classroom and "hands-on" bike time on a closed range (approximately 19 hours total). We provide small lightweight bikes.

This course is great for the person who has never been on a bike or someone who is taking the hobby up again. This course begins with the basics, such as turning, shifting, and braking, then moves on to street riding skills.

Students must possess a valid driver's license or permit and sign the required waiver form (under 18 must have a parent/guardian present to sign waiver in presence of a Westside representative).

Successful completion requires attendance at all sessions and satisfactory marks on skills and knowledge tests.

Experienced

Intermediate Rider Training

Our Intermediate Rider Training is great for returning or transition riders.  We provide the bikes for this one day class.  So if you have your skills on brake, clutch, balance and steering down this might be for you.  Great for the dirtbike rider who is transitioning to street riding, the returning street rider who has been away from the sport for a while, as well as the permit holder who just doesn't want to take the test on their own bike.

Experienced Rider Course

Our Experienced Rider Course (ERC) is for students who have 6 months to a year of experience. This one-day class will sharpen and improve the skills you already have.

ERC students must provide their own cycle and DOT approved helmet, show proof of insurance in their name (minimum $25,000 personal injury; $50,000 injury per occurrence;        $10,000 property damage) and valid registration for the bike they bring . The student's motorcycle must pass a safety check, including (but not limited to): correct tire pressure and tire/wheel condition, cables and chains, fluid levels, lights and electrics, brakes, chassis and suspension, side/center stands.

Please inspect the motorcycle before arriving. Motorcycles with defects that could impair handling or control will not be permitted on the range.

Safety Apparel

Bike time REQUIRES that you be dressed appropriately! Following is a list of safety clothing that is a must for taking this class.
  • DOT approved helmet (loaners are available)
  • Eye protection (glasses are OK)
  • Long sleeved shirt/jacket
  • Long pants
  • Shoes or boots that cover the ankle with low heels
  • Full-finger gloves

Safety apparel requirements are the same for both classes.
