NEW!! DOL ACCEPTED MOTOR CYCLE ENDORSEMENT TESTING
Besides our state and MSF certified rider training courses,Westside now offers onsite DOL certified endorsement testing, as the local DOL licensing offices used to do.So now you can take your choice at Westside—learn riding and safety skills as part of a certified rider training course (which includes both the written and riding endorsement test), or just take the certified written and riding endorsement tests without the training course.
Knowledge Tests are offered at our store on a Walk-In basis. Please come visit us anytime Tuesday through Saturday between the hours of 9a and 4p to take your Knowledge Test for $25. Skills tests will be held twice per week (advanced scheduling required) for just $40. Schedule both tests at once and save $5! Need a bike to test on? Ask us about using one of ours for an additional $25. Please call the store with any inquiries.

You will love riding on our new on-site training range. Built in 2011, this is a brand new asphalt range, custom built and professionally laid out to MSF and State of Washington DOL specifications.
Our rider training course is certified by the State of Washington.
All of our instructors are Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) certified.
All three classes we offer will earn you a testing waiver for the DOL with successful completion of both the written test and ride evaluation during class.
Beginner courses typically run two consecutive days, 8a-6p both days. We do offer an alternate schedule some weekends: Friday night 6p-9p, Saturday 8a-6p, & Sunday 8a-2p.
PRIVATE CLASSES AND GROUP RATES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
Beginner Riding Course (BRC)
Our beginner's course consists of both classroom and on-range learning. Students use our bikes in a safe, closed course to ensure a fun and low threat learning environment. Last year we custom built our own MSF approved Rider Training Range right here at Westside Motorsports, so that our students can benefit from a smoothly transitioned and completely on-site learning experience.
This course is great for a person who has never been on a bike or someone who is taking the hobby up again after an extended lapse in riding. This course begins with the basics, such as turning, shifting, and braking, then moves on to street riding skills.
Students must possess a valid driver's license or permit and sign the required waiver form (under 18 must have a parent/guardian present to sign waiver in presence of a Westside representative).
Beginner courses typically run two consecutive days, 8a-6p both days. We do offer an alternate schedulesomeweekends: Friday night 6p-9p, Saturday 8a-6p, & Sunday 8a-2p.
Intermediate Rider Training (IRT)
Our Intermediate Rider Training is a good fit for returning or transitional riders. If you already have proven skills on braking, clutching, balance, and steering this might be the class for you. The IRT is great for the dirt bike rider transitioning to street riding, the returning street rider who's been away from the sport for a while, or a rider who hasn't decided which bike to buy yet. In an IRT class you will ride one of our training bikes during the range portion of class. This one-day class will sharpen and improve the riding skills you already have.
Intermediate courses run from 9a - 6p
Experienced Rider Course (ERC)
Our Experienced Rider Course (ERC) is for students who have established riding history and would like to refine their road skills on their own motorcycles.
ERC students must provide their own cycle and DOT approved helmet, as well as show proof of current registration and insurance. The student's motorcycle must be completely street legal and be able to pass a safety check, including (but not limited to): correct tire pressure and tire/wheel condition, cables and chains, fluid levels, lights and electrics, brakes, chassis and suspension, side/center stands.
Please inspect the motorcycle before arriving. Motorcycles with defects that could impair handling or control will not be permitted on the range.
Experienced courses run from 9a - 6p.
